
L’“Pickup” International Award. (IPUA) International Van of the Year (IVotY) is a special award presented every two to three years. It is new this year Volkswagen Amarok who will win the prize again, for the third time, after being awarded in 2011 and 2017. Amarok shares this prize Pickup of the year with its technical cousin the Ford Ranger for the 2024-2025 period.
The second generation Amarok was developed and produced in partnership with Ford. Volkswagen Amarok: updated second generation
After more than 830,000 examples of the first Amarok model sold worldwide, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is launching the second generation of its famous pick-up truck. THE Volkswagen Amarok was significantly redesigned and has a common technical architecture with the new Ford Ranger: it has become larger, more technological and more muscular.
Depending on the version, more than 25 assistance systems, screens of up to 12.3 inches and an on-board control concept combining digital and analog control are available. It has a load capacity of up to 1.19 tonnes, a maximum towable weight of 3.5 tonnes and its bodywork has been refined to meet the high demands of both professional and leisure activities.
From €53,700 in France
This summer in France, Volkswagen opened the order book for the new Amarok, which was offered only in two-seater silhouette and with 3 processing levels : “Life”, “Style” and “Adventure”. Two diesel engines offered with a 2.0 TDI with a capacity of 205 hp and a 3.0 V6 TDI with a capacity of 240 hp.
The new Volkswagen Amarok is on sale in France at an entry-level price from €53,700 With tax. The first deliveries are expected in the first quarter of 2024.
