When cars hit the market, they’re usually ready, it seems logical. But sometimes problems become apparent a little later, sometimes directly affecting the safety of those on board as well as other road users. Sometimes it can also endanger the vehicle, e.g. fire risk. In these cases, manufacturers organize so-called recall campaigns. Suitable vehicles are then identified by the make, which returns them to the workshop for repair.

It’s the turn of the DS SUV
And regardless of the manufacturer, anyone can suffer from this type of operation at some point. This is, for example, the case of Kia, Ford or even Ferrari and even Lamborghini! But today it’s DS’s turn to start a recall campaign for one of its models. This is DS 7, or rather its plug-in hybrid version. But what is the problem? High-class SUV tricolor? Well, the latter is affected by a software-related issue that causes the battery temperature to rise abnormally. This can lead to premature deterioration or even a fire risk.
Free repair
In total, there are at least 1 of them4,806 DS 7 hybrids left the factory between February 19, 2019 and November 22, 2022, which are affected by this recall campaign. The owners will be contacted and invited to come to the workshop to fix the problem. Downtime can range from 25 minutes to 9 hours if the entire battery needs to be replaced. In all cases, repairs are carried out at the expense of the brand and at the expense of the latter.
