But be careful, because it is also associated with less interesting affairs and various obligations. Indeed, you should also adhere to a few small restrictions to make things go as smoothly as possible. For example, it is mandatory take out insuranceand to ensure that your vehicle is in good working order for your safety and the safety of other road users.

Mandatory inspection
That is why technical inspection has been mandatory for several years. The latter must be carried out four years after the purchase of a new car, and then every two years. And all vehicles must pass through it, with certain exceptions. This is, for example, a case car without rights, which are not currently affected. But that will soon change. Actually, from April 2024, they will now have to undergo this periodic inspection. But be careful, because its implementation will be done gradually.
What dates?
Cars registered before 2017 will pass the test next year, and those that left the factory until 2019. will do it in 2025, And so on. The CEO of Dekra explains to our colleagues at BFM TV that “there will be 78 checkpoints, compared to 133 for a conventional light vehicle, with 165 possible failures, compared to the LV’s 613, but we clearly find three levels of failure: minor, major and critical“.
