The price of fuel is particularly high, and it has been for more than two years. There are many reasons: various conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as a drop in production in OPEC countries, which leads to an increase the price of oil. Not to mention the increase in demand, as well as very high taxes. And it is not for nothing that taxes make up at least 60% of the price of a liter of fuel, gasoline and diesel combined. Which obviously makes the situation very difficult for French motorists.
Europe has agreed to end the heat engine by 2035. However, the fuel tax is an important source of revenue for the French state. https://t.co/M17WH4kOC3

A long investigation
Obviously, this gives bad ideas to some people who started stealing fuel. This is the case of three of our champions at the age of 22 who appeared before the court of Chalons-en-Champagne. The latter were actually detained for 13 thefts committed on farms and from individuals near their homes. And the least we can say is that the police used the means to arrest the three thieves as multiple means were used such as CCTV, telephone line or even vehicle identification.
Oh…
Then the police managed to detain three young people thanks to the beacon installed on their Peugeot 407. Spotting it, the driver decides to stick it… to his fridge to get rid of it. Then the police simply had to go and take the thieves from their homes. Then three young people were sentenced conditionally, and were also forbidden to communicate with each other. They will also have to work and compensate the victims of their misdeeds.
