We know that for several years more and more cities and states are not trying by all means ban thermal machines, or at least reduce its place on the streets. This obviously applies to Paris, but also to several other municipalities in France, especially those that have become ZFEs or will soon become so. Some then want to set an example and make sure that leaders also drive electric cars to set an example for the rest of the population.

Unusual delivery
This is, for example, a case the city-state of Vatican City. Indeed, the latter wants to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and therefore wants to focus on electricity to achieve this. And for this, the city cooperates with the manufacturer Volkswagen. The German firm will actually deliver no less than 40 cars from its ID range, namely the ID.3, ID.4 and ID.5. Moreover, several copies of the contract have already been handed over to individual representatives of the state. History does not yet say which model the Pope will choose for his travels.
Partnership with Volkswagen
These cars are financed directly by the manufacturer through its subsidiary Volkswagen financial services. The chairman of the board of directors of the financial department also spoke, confirming that “we are happy to support the Vatican in this important project. This is particularly important for us and demonstrates our competitiveness in the field of mobile solutions.” Other cars will be delivered a little later to replace the existing fleet.
