But fans can rest assured, Kathryn DeLorean, daughter of DMC brand founder John DeLorean, didn’t hide her disappointment with the Alpha5 either. She expressed her intention to create a modern machine that would do justice to the DMC-12 while meeting modern requirements. And the project she launched looks promising.
This new DeLorean, which could be similar to the concept that designer Angel Guerra came up with, will be based on the Chevrolet Corvette C8. In this new modern interpretation, one of the iconic elements of the DMC-12, the gull-wing doors, will be retained.
This project will be carried out in collaboration with DeLorean Next Gen Motors (DNG), a company dedicated to creating next-generation cars to fund fields such as science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics and manufacturing.
