Toyota’s stand at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 showcases several new products, including a new 100% electric concept car: an SUV Toyota FT-3eFT values “Toyota of the future”. Now we know more about it.

Toyota FT-3e: futuristic style

Toyota FT-3e stands out with its very futuristic look, clumsy and sleek design that “Combines sophisticated aesthetics with lines and surfaces that make the body as simple as possible” according to Toyota.

The model is equippeddigital screens from the lower part of the body to the upper part of the door, which convey information about the battery charge, the temperature in the cabin or even the air quality in the cabin: these data are displayed when the driver approaches the car.

Inside we find the atmosphere of both sophisticated and futuristic, with spotted fabrics for a comfortable relaxation effect. There are also a lot of screens: the steering wheel is also equipped with only one branch at the bottom, which allows a clear view of the small screen on the left, which acts as a gear selector, a digital instrument panel of the instrument panel or a smartphone. mounted on the support to the right of the steering wheel.

In the center we find a large touch screen for the infotainment system, slightly offset from the center, which should make it easier for the passenger to use. The dashboard also has multiple screens, two of which act as rear-view mirrors, and the central rear-view mirror is also the screen onto which the image captured by the rear-view camera is projected.

Mysterious 100% electric motor

The brand was rather stingy with information about the mechanics 100% electric of this FT-3e. Toyota specifies, however, that it will allow connectivity “for society as a means of transferring energy and data from the vehicle and its environment” : we have to find technology there bidirectional chargingalso known by the abbreviation V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything).
