Hyundai: Many models affected by 2024 environmental penalty

Let’s start with the good news: certain models of the Korean manufacturer will not be subject to an environmental penalty in 2024. On the side of Hyundai i30 (from 121 to 139 g CO2/km), the fine is from 125 to 898 euros depending on the engine, and for Bayonne (from 118 to 126 g CO2/km), the fine is from 50 to 230 euros depending on the version.

Certain Hyundai hybrids are subject to sanctions in 2024

From the side of the SUV Hyundai Tucson, the thermal and hybrid range (from 127 to 151 g CO2/km) is affected by the 2024 penalty, ranging from 240 to 2,370 euros depending on the version. You’ll have to go for the hybrid version (31g CO2/km) to avoid this.

It’s the same for Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid (from 144 to 153 g CO2/km), which in 2024 will incur an environmental penalty of 1,386 to 2,726 euros, depending on the version. Here, too, you’ll have to go for the hybrid version (37g CO2/km) to avoid this.
