Renault Clio has been on the market for some time. And for good reason, the current generation has been on the market since 2019, the year it was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. A commemorative edition as it also welcomed the all-new Peugeot 208, presented a few stands further on. Four years after her arrival, the resident of the city with the diamond sacrificed herself small mid-career restyling but is already planning its next generation. And it is not for nothing that the last one is scheduled for 2026.

A little information
And now we are learning a little about it, even if we still have to be patient to know everything. And what is surprising about the city car is that it will not only be electric. In any case, this is what Renault’s head of engineering, Gilles Le Bourgne, said recently. He then explains that “ we are currently working onthe next generation Clio. And this car will have heat engines, as it will hit the market by 2030“. Very good news for customers who want to have a choice! And it’s actually quite logical, you’ll see.
No competition
Indeed, the future Renault Clio will be located in the same segment as the future of R5 E-Tech, which will be sold only in electric form. So there is no question of creating a duplicate. But what will happen to the historic city car after 2035? Nothing is confirmed at the moment, but it is possible that the latter will disappear in favor of the Renault 5. But for now, it is still in the catalog to hunt the land of the 208, which is still a hit.
