Restyled Nissan Qashqai: what we already know Auto Plus news in your smartphone Auto Plus news in your inbox

It’s only been three years since the official launch of the current generation Nissan Qashqai, which is still relatively short in terms of vehicle life. By the way, in 2021, the SUV was presented on the market in the very center COVID-19 pandemic, which, obviously, did not necessarily contribute to a good start. This was reflected in sales, which were quite low compared to forecasts, although the situation has improved significantly over time. But today it’s time for an update for one of the Japanese manufacturer’s bestsellers. Actually, the latter is already preparing his mid-career restyling.

Modernized style

And the least we can say is that Japanese SUV will have a lot to do when faced with the Renault Austral and other upcoming Peugeot 3008s. Unsurprisingly, the facelifted Qashqai should then restyle and modernize, taking its inspiration from the Pathfinder concept unveiled last April in China. Then the functions should become dynamic and modern with completely new optics. But at the moment, the manufacturer has not yet confirmed anything, he is very tight-lipped on this topic. No photos, not even a teaser, have been shown yet for the upcoming screening.

And under the hood?

Nothing is certain at the moment, but it is possible that the 140 and 158 horsepower engines will be removed from the range due to environmental standards. No word on a possible electric version being off the agenda, the brand has already focused on its Ariya. It remains to be seen when this facelifted Qashqai will be officially unveiled, but it could be at the next Tokyo Motor Show next October. Its marketing has to happen at the beginning of 2024.
