A few years ago, manufacturers’ ranges were full. Back then, there were many variations of the same model with multiple engines and different trims, as well as multiple silhouettes. So much so that it sometimes made a nice mess and customers had a little trouble finding their way through it all. But at least there was a choice, and for every taste. But that all changed when semiconductor shortages, in particular, forced manufacturers to revise their catalogs to reduce production time. And that requires cutting back on certain versions, including less profitable ones, to make room.
Reduced range
This especially applies to German brands, which in recent years sought to rationalize their assortment. The goal is to lose as little money as possible on cars that aren’t selling as well. We think, for example, of Audi, which is currently conducting a major sorting in its catalog. In the next few years, the firm plans to change its strategy to an all-electric system and is already starting to refine its thermal models. This is how the most consuming cars begin to disappear Audi RS Q3 SUV and Sportback. These objectors are no longer in the catalog.

Several departures
But that’s not all, as this is also the case Audi S4, RS 4 Avant and A4 Allroad, as well as the S5, which finally gave up. Please note that orders for the A4 sedan with a manual transmission are currently closed. But the date of their return has not yet been announced by the manufacturer. Finally, the Q7 plug-in hybrid is also part of the catalog. But truth be told, that shouldn’t change much since only 82 units were sold in the last year. Which is obviously very little.
