Four years after the launch, the German manufacturer presents a restyling of its city car, which includes aesthetic elements of the brand’s latest productions.
While maintaining its dimensions, the Opel Corsa has a completely new look, especially with the famous “Opel Vizor” front., with this wide black stripe that integrates into the grille, LED headlights and brand logo. The air intakes in the lower part of the shield are larger, and at the back we find a letter with the name of the model that stretches across the width of the trunk.
The Opel Corsa has received a new “Gris Grafik” color, which is available for the first time on a Corsa, and new rims. The car also got new adaptive headlights and a new LED high beam Intelli-Lux LED with 14 LED elements instead of 8 before.
More technology in the program
On board, we find new fabrics for the seats and completely redesigned technology consisting of two 10-inch screens for the dashboard and an infotainment system based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit operating system.
It has an integrated navigation system, connected services and “Hey Opel” voice recognition, as well as the ability to receive updates “over the air”. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included.
Also on the technology front, Opel relies on a new high-resolution panoramic rearview camera, while driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, collision warning with emergency braking, and Flank Guard.
Two electric versions are available
There’s also something new under the hood, with two 1.2-liter three-cylinder engines equipped with mild hybridization. These two blocks are composed respectively 100 and 136 hp. Both are mated to a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Opel Corsa Electric is obviously updated, this time with two options: 136 and 156 hp. Both versions are equipped with the same battery 50 kW/h, with the ability to go from 20 to 80% in about 30 minutes thanks to 100 kW fast charging. The first version claims to 357 km of autonomy and 402 km for the second.
