It’s a fact, all manufacturers will have to go 100% electric within the next few years. And it is not for nothing that the European Union wants it categorically prohibit the sale of thermal cars across the continent from 2035. A decision that is obviously not unanimous, but which all manufacturers will still have to comply with. Including Skoda, which several years ago began to produce and sell models with zero emissions. We’re thinking of the Citigo in particular, as well as the latest Enyaq iV. But, of course, the company is not going to stop there.

Six models are being prepared
Indeed, the latter in any case aims to market only 100% electric cars by the 2035 deadline. For this, it will need to offer other models to expand its range. In this way, it is preparing no less than six brand new cars that will see the light of day in the next few years. We still know very little about them, but we already know that the program includes two SUVs. The first is the Elroq, which will have the difficult task of replacing the thermal Karoq, which will reach the end of its life in a few years.
A large SUV
It will be based on SEM platform well-known to the Volkswagen group and should have engines between 150 and 340 horsepower for batteries between 45 and 82 kWh. It is also planned to release a second model, this time under the name Skoda Space. This is a large seven-seater SUV that will compete with Kia EV9 among others. Its length should be at least 4.90 meters. The release of four other models is also planned, but nothing has been said about them yet. We should know more very soon…
