Mini Countryman: the new 100% electric generation

At 4.43 meters in length, 13 cm longer than the current generation, 1.61 meters in height, 6 cm longer, the upcoming Mini Countryman promises to offer more space on board.
To ride the ecological wave, the future Countryman will carry a lot recycled materials on the dashboard, steering wheel, headliner, floor or floor mats.
For the first time, this Mini Countryman will made in Germany, at the BMW plant in Leipzig. The German group has invested more than 800 million euros to install eight additional production lines there by next year. This plant aims to decarbonize using hydrogen, wind power and energy storage using 700 recycled high-voltage batteries from end-of-life BMW i3s.

These two engines will be connected to a Battery 64.7 kWh capacity that will allow them to display a autonomy up to 450 kilometers. Thanks to this new 100% electric Mini Countryman, the British manufacturer plans to increase the share of sales of its electric cars: today every fifth Mini sold is already 100% electric.
The new generation Mini Countryman should be fully presented at the beginning of the 2023 academic year, on the occasion Munich Fair. It is expected to enter the market at the end of 2023, and the start of production is planned for November in Leipzig.
