Chinese automobile group Geely has built a giant brand empire. In both Europe and Asia, he increased the number of purchases from manufacturers and at the same time launched several brands under his own name. It is so owner of Volvo, Polestar, Lotus and Proton especially. But is also a 50% shareholder of Smart, whose production was transferred to China. In Europe, it distributes its own models under brands Lynk&Co, and soon Zeekr. In the local market, we are also indebted to Geometry brands and now Galaxy. After all, many builders, each of whom participates at their local level in the success of this industrial giant. There is another brand, a little less known in our country, which belongs to Geely: LEVC.
Another new brand in Geely
Acronym of London Electric Vehicle Companyit is about a well-known manufacturer of British “black cab” taxis. ! Now 100% electric and assembled in China, they are distributed in France through Cao Cao, car service with drivers. In order to continue to compete with Uber and other Bolts in the world, Geely wants to make Cao Cao famous. For this, the group relies on a new structure: Cao Cao Auto. This is a new brand that is intended exclusively for professionals, and in particular for VTC drivers. Therefore, the future products of Cao Cao Auto will be like this model rental onlyand which will not be intended for individuals. Renault through its subsidiary Mobilizealready sells in France according to the same principle an electric sedan assembled in China: Limousine. Cao Cao Auto has just introduced its first model, the Cao Cao 60 EV.
Electric sedan for VTC drivers
It is about a a four-door sedan with a traditional silhouette. Its glass surfaces are surprisingly small, as if we wanted to give it the appearance of an SUV. Its special feature is its battery, which can be replaced in 60 seconds with a full battery, in principle maintained by its competitor NIO. She claims a range of 415 kilometers from the battery (Chinese homologation cycle). Among other features, Cao Cao Auto announces a trunk with a volume of 500 liters and a central touch screen. This is first of all a rational model, without excesses, because it is intended for private drivers. Launched first in China, it could come to Europe to join the current fleet of LEVC TX taxis in Cao Cao. Among the big question marks that remain are potential battery swap stations. Geely has not yet explained how and how many exchange stations it plans to deploy.
