In 2007, the modern Mini Clubman paid homage to the station wagon concept of the 1970s: it was distinguished by an antagonistic door in the rear right. The third generation, born in 2015, becomes larger and more practical, thanks to two conventional doors at the back. We can still see its two side-opening hinged rear doors that allow it to stand out in the segment.
But the time of station wagons is over, and the Mini Clubman will soon replace the compact SUV. To pay tribute to its iconic model, the British manufacturer, a member of the BMW Group, has just introduced a new special series called Mini Clubman Final Edition. Its production will be limited to only 1,969 examples, in honor of the year of creation of the historic model.
Mini Clubman Final Edition: an exclusive series
Based on the Untold Plus finish and available in Nanuq White, Enigmatic Black and Melting Silver body colors, the Mini Clubman Final Edition adds contrasting elements of copper color “Shimmering copper”. We find these touches on the grille or the exclusive 18-inch two-tone Final Edition Spoke alloy wheels.
Pattern to four thin copper lines also located at the bottom of the doors, as well as on the hood and on the right rear door, extending along the body.
Under the rear right lamp, with a light signature british flaghas a “Final Edition” sticker to indicate its exclusivity, added 1 of 1,969 pins on the rear door pillars or “Final Edition 1969” markings on the side vents.
Mini Clubman Final Edition: cool features
Inside is a exclusive leather upholstery “Dark burgundy”, contrasted with an anthracite fabric insert, “Final Edition” inserts, as well as sky blue edging. Exclusive ‘Final Edition’ door sills also add to the interior ambience, while the lower spoke of the leather steering wheel features similar branding.
The dash adds some warmth with its decorative insert featuring ‘Shimmer Coopper’ copper motifs, accented by a matte green ‘Sage Green Dark’ peripheral strip. There is a “1 of 1969” marking, which is also included in the copper-colored emblem on the floor mats. The Mini Clubman Final Edition also comes with a personalized key shell in the colors of this special edition.
The Mini Clubman Final Edition will be released in a limited edition in 1969 copies in the world, of which only 123 units for the French marketequipped Cooper S engine with a capacity of 178 horsepower. The order book is already open in France at the initial price from €46,400.
