As we know, the automotive market isn’t much of a party-goer, and it hasn’t been for some time. In question health crisis related to Covid-19, as well as the semiconductor shortage that is apparently related. Not to mention the environmental standards that burden manufacturers, and the rising cost of raw materials, which increases the price of new cars. As a result, sales have been in freefall since 2020, albeit with some periods of improvement. But still nothing to do with the indicators before COVID, when the market was doing quite well and even progressing.

A small improvement
While the numbers for the month of January have just dropped on the site CCFA, still a slight improvement on the start of the year. Indeed, passenger car sales were up +8.8% last month compared to the same period in 2022. In total, at least 111,939 cars were registered in January, which is quite encouraging. Some manufacturers thus got out of the game, for example Fiat with its sales in 45.9% growth or Dacia, which was up 54.0% in January.
what car
And precisely, looking at the rating of the best-selling cars in the territory, we notice that the budget company is positioned more than well. Indeed, it was the Dacia Sandero that was the most registered model in the territory with 6,562 units in January. Thus, it is ahead of Peugeot 208 and Renault Clio. It became the 2nd best-selling model of the brand Spring, which ranks 13th in the ranking. A very good breakthrough for an electric city car that is massively attracting customers in France as well as in Europe.
