
In 2021, the French government has set itself the goal of offering the population at least 100,000 charging stations for electric cars. Unfortunately, this rather ambitious goal has not yet been achieved.
However, the French network of electric charging stations continues to develop: today it exists Engie’s solution who just announced the creation of everything 4200 new charging pointsin the hotel chain B&B hotelswhich has 345 establishments in France.
Electric charging stations for all customers
B&B Hotels has chosen Engie Solutions to equip all its hotels in France charging stations for electric cars. Thus, the French hotel chain wants to contribute to the energy transition and the transformation of mobility by offering this new service in its car parks.
By 2024, 4,200 charging stations will be installed 20% of parking spaces B&B Hotels, which will be dedicated to electric mobility, creating a new infrastructure of charging stations.
The company specifies that these terminals will be open to all electric vehicle usersregardless of whether they have booked a room or not. However, B&B Hotels customers will benefit from a preferential pricing to charge your electric car.
Engie: charging stations based on renewable energy
The deployment of the installation of these charging stations will begin during the first quarter of 2023. In particular, by 2024, the B&B Hotels electric car charging network will include: 3600 charging points with power 22 kWas well as 600 points of ultra-fast charging with power 300 kW.
Therefore, each B&B will have an average of a dozen charging stations. But charging points with a capacity of 300 kW will be available only in 70 establishments.
The electricity distributed by Engie Solutions charging stations will be generated from renewable energy sources: hydro, wind, solar… Tracking this renewable electricity will be certified by certificates of origin, and this is on all terminals installed by Engie Solutions in B&B hotels.
