Dallara Stradale IR8 Tribute: a worthy anniversary celebration News from Auto Plus in your smartphone News from Auto Plus in your inbox

The unique Dallara Stradale is the first car from the manufacturer Varano de’ Melegari. Now it is available in an even more “special” version. The Dallara Stradale IR8 Tribute, that’s its name, pays tribute to Dallara’s first victory in the legendary Indianapolis 500 which took place in 1998.

25 years ago, it was the first of countless successes (broken only by the 2000 and 2004 G-Force) with driver Eddie Cheever behind the wheel.

Dallara Stradale IR8 Tribute: Special in nature

Dallara Stradale IR8 Tribute is characterized above all by the livery, which repeats the colors of the racing car. This configuration was designed for this occasion by the design studio BorromeodeSilva.

The car is decorated with a blue and black dress, with the white inscription XXV (25 Roman numerals) and 23 stars below, as victories in the Indianapolis 500 Miles from 1998 to the present. The special alloy wheels are black, and the yellow brake calipers contrast with the rest of the body.

Dallara Stradale IR8 Tribute: Even faster

However, the most important innovations are those that we do not see. The Dallara Stradale IR8 Tribute (also available in an EXP version and exclusive to the track) arrives with numerous technical updates. making it even sportier than it already is.

The 25 special Dallara Stradales planned for production (to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the first win) will feature a new automated AMT transmission (derived from the EXP) that halves gearshift times, as well as updated braking and the addition of a new intercooler and radiator

25 lucky owners will also be invited to spend a weekend at the team center during the Indianapolis 500 Miles. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but knowing that the Stradale’s base price is around €192,000 and the EXP price is €312,000, this special edition is probably something to cash in on.
