It usually takes several months, sometimes even years, before a concept car gives birth to a production model. The Americans are clearly moving faster, because during the Super Bowl match between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, Ram has unveiled its new electric pickup truck.
But there seems to be a small subtlety. To change the context, at the CES 2023 exhibition in Las Vegas, which took place last January, the American manufacturer presented the 1500 Revolution concept.
Its production version was supposed to be the first 100% electric Ram model, but apparently the manufacturer decided otherwise the pickup shown does not actually look like the production version of the 1500 Revolution.

It looks more like an electrified version of the current 1500 pickup, though that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as Ford managed to use the same recipe for the new F-150 Lightning. Taking a closer look at the Ram 1500 REV, some of the bodywork appears to be similar to its cooled counterpart, while the front and rear stand out more.
We find, for example, optics with a specific LED signature reminiscent of the 1500 Revolution concept, the Ram lettering illuminated on the radiator grille, or even the L-shaped taillights.

The commercial also gives a quick glimpse of the interior, specifically the dashboard, showing a clear connection to the current model that Ram sells.
The center console and large UConnect touchscreen are similar, even if the electric model has been upgraded in particular screen for the front passenger. An item shared specifically with certain high-end Jeep models sold in the United States.
During this 60-second spot, Ram did not provide any technical information about his product. We just know that this model will go into production in 2024. Ram also informed that the booking has been opened on a dedicated website. Customers will need to pay $100 to reserve the model.
