It’s time to update the BMW X5. One of the flagships of the BMW SUV line has received a fairly significant restyling with many new functions, on the one hand aesthetic, and on the other – technological.
Also for the first time for the BMW X5: its entire engine lineup is now electrifiedwhile the interior changes in depth thanks to the integration of the new double panel introduced some time ago on the BMW iX.
Restyling BMW X5: face change
The BMW X5 received a new, thinner LED front optics of 35 mm, according to the manufacturer’s statements. The front end is rounded off with new air intakes and a grille that still impresses, albeit slightly redesigned. Additionally, the X5 is now available with a light grille, just like its X6 cousin.
At the back, we find optics similar to the previous generation, but with a slightly changed light shade. Customers will always have a choice of several option packages, including the M Shadow Line package, which includes black inserts.
Restyled BMW X5: more advanced technologies
The interior of the X5 has been revised with acceptance curved screen consisting of a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a 14.9-inch infotainment screen with the BMW iDrive 8 operating system.
The seats are equipped with the new “Sensafin” upholstery, which resembles leather and includes functions of heating, ventilation and various massage programs. Those who prefer genuine leather can opt for the classic Merino leather upholstery available in the BMW Individual catalog.
As standard, the restyled X5 is equipped with an adaptive suspension, and as options BMW still offers rear-wheel steering and an active anti-roll bar system to curb body movements during dynamic driving.
Assistance systems include forward collision warning, active lane keeping, traffic sign recognition and park assist as standard. This assistant remembers the last 200 meters traveled by the car and allows you to automatically reverse the same route.
