
Detleffs is a manufacturer of mobile homes, a member of the Erwin Hymer group. The name Globebus is not new for the German brand: indeed, the range offers compact one-piece models with controlled width for better versatility.
It was on the occasion of the recent CMT exhibition in Stuttgart that Dethleffs presented a new line Globebus Goconsisting of streamlined motorhomes based on a Ford Transit truck and powered by a 130bhp 2.0-litre TDCi EcoBlue diesel engine (155bhp and automatic gearbox optional).
Dethleffs Globebus Go: Two versions available
The Globebus Go range from Dethleffs is available in two versions:
- Globebus Go T15 : differs in length of 5.99 meters (wheelbase 3.3 meters) and transverse double bed 137/132 x 198 cm in the rear part;
- Globebus Go T45 : distinguished by a length of 6.69 meters (wheelbase 3.75 meters) and two single beds (80 x 201 and 75 x 193 cm) in the rear, which can be transformed into a double bed 155 x 200 cm thanks to the central extension.
The two models share a height of 2.81 meters and a width of 2.20 meters.
Dethleffs Globebus Go: a practical and well-thought-out layout
Apart from the rear, the two versions of the Dethleffs Globebus Go are quite similar from the front: the living room can accommodate up to four people thanks to a seat that faces the road and two seats that swivel around a retractable table. This space can also be converted into an extra bed to accommodate another overnight guest.
Not far from the right side of the vehicle, there is a kitchen set with a two-burner stove, a sink, a worktop and a large Compressor refrigerator 149 l, not to mention the many storage drawers. Ahead, Bathroom equipped with a rotating wall that allows you to separate the functions of this space, which consists of a shower, a toilet and a washbasin.
Dethleffs Globebus Go: extended standard equipment
Dethleffs Globebus Go displays a extensive standard equipment : we find there, in particular, air conditioning, cruise control, rain and light sensors, automatic main beam, mosquito net on the door, electric running board, heated garage, glazed roof or shower grill. As an option, you can, for example, choose the winter package, which includes an insulated waste water tank, as well as a rear-view camera.
The Dethleffs Globebus Go will go on sale by the end of 2023 in France, at rates to be announced later.
