Mercedes has been selling electric cars under the EQ series for several years. It all started with the EQC, a rival to the Jaguar I-Pace, followed by several models to expand the range. In particular, it is worth mentioning EQA, EQB, as well as EQS and EQS SUV, EQE and EQE SUV. In short, he begins to do a lot. And we suspect that the German company is not going to stop there, and the European Union will in any case ban the sale of thermal cars from 2035. And this will apply to all but certain brands that sell almost no cars.

End of range
However, rumor has it that Mercedes may ditch the EQ badge affixed to all of its zero-emission cars. Does this mean that the German brand will stop producing electric cars? Rest assured, this is obviously not the case, and it would obviously be illogical or out of step with the times. But then what does that mean? You probably already know this, but the manufacturer plans to become a 100% electric brand within a few years. More precisely from 2030. Very close term. And then it will no longer be relevant to distinguish these connected vehicles by the EQ badge, because there will be no more heat cars anyway.
Many projects
From 2025, every model category sold in the range will be entitled to at least one electric version. This is already almost the case, and other novelties are on the way. We’re thinking in particular of the upcoming electric G-Class, which will be called the EQG at launch. AND Electrical class C could also see the light, as well as some completely new models. But we’ll have to be a little more patient before we find out…
