
After the Mercedes T-Class Marco Polo, the German manufacturer takes on the electric version of the Mercedes EQT to turn it into a van. Before unveiling the production version, Mercedes presents a concept car called Mercedes Concept EQT Marco Poloequipped with everything you need for adventure.
“In the second half of 2023, we plan to further expand our range with a full-fledged, as well as a fully electric micro-home on wheels. The EQT Marco Polo concept already gives a preview of the next production car. As the name suggests, we are expanding our Marco Polo family with both EQT-based products”– said Klaus Rekugler, sales manager of Mercedes-Benz Vans.

The Mercedes Concept EQT Marco Polo is based on the long-wheelbase EQT, painted in Chromite Gray metallic and contrasted with elements painted in gloss black, such as the radiator grille, mirrors or roof rails. The model was equipped 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheelswhile retractable roofwhich rises horizontally due to the scissor construction, has a solar panel.
This is due to the removable battery, which allows the EQT Marco Polo to be self-sufficient in energy: hidden in a drawer under the seat, it can be removed to charge, for example, at home or at work. .

Mercedes Concept EQT Marco Polo: space on board
Inside, the rear seat gives way to just two seats, ending in a small one on the left kitchen unit equipped with a sink, an induction stove, and a 16-liter compressor refrigerator.
Behind we find a electric lifting table for eating, complemented by an additional longitudinal rear seat. Clever storage is hidden in these various elements, and there’s a drawer at the back that provides access to the gas stove for outdoor cooking under the open tailgate.
Mercedes Concept EQT Marco Polo: unchanged modularity and versatility
With the seats folded down and the table tucked down, the Concept EQT Marco Polo’s rear space leaves room for two full-size berths. 115×200 cm. This is advantageously complemented by a folding roof mat in size 97 x 197 cm and equipped with a point-elastic disc spring to ensure greater comfort.
All furniture inside can be removed two people, less than five minutes. This allows you to use your EQT Marco Polo as an everyday vehicle for your personal and professional life, then go on holiday or for a weekend with all the equipment on board.
