Toyota will become the strongest car brand in the world News from Auto Plus in your smartphone News from Auto Plus in your mailbox

A few days ago, we told you about a study conducted by the Journal du Dimanche, which found Peugeot to be the favorite car brand of the French, ahead of Renault and CitroΓ«n. A real success for the lion firm, which continues to seduce with its new models, and in particular the recently introduced 408. But now another study has been published, this time on brands from all over the world, and not just of French origin. This was announced by the Interbrand company, which every year announces its annual ranking of the world’s most powerful companies. And, unfortunately, French firms are not in a very good position when we change the perspective. Indeed, and it is not surprising Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and Google leads the way, followed by Samsung. But where are the car brands?

Toyota is in good condition

More precisely, Toyota occupies the 6th position, thus becoming the most powerful car manufacturer in the world. The latter has an estimated value of 59.7 billion dollars, which has increased by 10% compared to last year. In comparison, Apple is worth $482 billion, up 18% from 2021, while Microsoft is worth $278 billion (+32%). Then you need to go and look to the 8th position to see the 2nd car make, viz mercedes. Then the latter weighs about 56 billion dollars (+ 10%). Finally, Tesla is in 3rd place with a value of $48 billion, up 32%.

.

Luxury brands are successful

It goes to the 4th position BMW, which shows a value of $46.3 billion and which has grown by 11% compared to last year. Next comes Honda, in 26th place with $22.8 billion and 7% growth. In truth, looking at the ranking, no car brand shows a drop in value, despite the difficult context of falling sales. So that’s still a pretty good sign for an industry that is starting to improve over time two very difficult years.
