The tension in the supply of fuel in no way justifies the jump in prices at some gas stations. We do not allow artificially inflated prices. I urged DGCCRF to act. Inspections take place in @hautsdefrance https://t.co/RXJWH912tA

Are things slowly improving? It would seem so. While several refineries and oil depots owned by TotalEnergies and Esso-ExxonMobil have been blocked for weeks by workers demanding higher wages, the situation appeared to be on hold. Indeed, at that time the negotiations were at an impasse, and the management was trying to reach an agreement with the trade unions, in particular with CGT. If the first offered a 6% salary increase, the second asked for 10%. Showdowns to the detriment of motorists, deprived of fuel, and many service stations are still dry. And so it has been for several weeks.

A small improvement
But it may happen that the situation is finally starting to improve a little. Indeed, the mobilization of strikers is slowly beginning to weaken. Indeed, we learn it traffic was finally stopped at three refineries and warehouses, namely the Mardik plants near Dunkirk, La Med and Donges. On the other hand, the strike continues at Honfreville in the Seine Sea and the Feizin depot on the RhΓ΄ne. The CGT then proposed a protocol to end the conflict, including several demands such as the start of negotiations on employment and investment and ” on specific issues raised by the strikers“. We do not yet know the management’s position regarding his demands.
.
Tense situation
Currently, the situation remains tense, and 20.3% of service stations experience difficulties with the supply of diesel or gasoline. This is down from Tuesday’s 22.8%, while it peaked at 28.1% on Monday. So the situation is starting to improve little by little, but we still have to wait until the real thing return to normal.
While the European Union banned the sale of diesel locomotives from 2035, France still practices “terminal hunting”. Educational review@oubertalli. #OnEstNotSortisDesRonces https://t.co/uT3qUEjNe6
