In the house of Maserati, the electric era will come. And faster than expected! If we all know granturismo, Do you know Folhor ?

Maserati is going electric forever

The first Granturismo with this name was discontinued from 2019. And today, models sold with V8 4.2 F136 from factories named after Ferrari to see their shore rise.

But if you were unhappy after his retirement after 12 years of service, rest assured, you won’t have to wait long!

Indeed, the next coming should point the tip of the nose to next year. This version may not disappoint fans of the Italian sports car design. The lines are very similar to the old version. Without a doubt, this is truly a Maserati!

Granturismo without V8 or V6?

But the biggest novelty is under the hood. Or rather, in the chassis. As this Granturismo will be offered with V6 or V8 petrol units, but will also run on batteries. This is a 100% electric variant called Folgore.

Acceleration to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds!

For this 1er cru in electricity, Maserati did not do everything in half. Just look at the numbers.

Having more than 1200 hp. its top speed will exceed 200 mph, or about 321 km/h. And on the exercise from 0 to 100 km/h it should be achieved in 2.7 seconds.

At the moment, the battery capacity is still unknown, as well as the autonomy in the combined cycle, by the way, but Maserati already specifies that we will be able to recover the equivalent 160 km (100 miles) after 10 min.

We’ll have to wait for the official launch early next year to know more. It will also be possible to open the dashboard, the only element that the sports car manufacturer still hides today.
