Now it’s official. In recent days, fuel has been reduced by 30 cents at all gas stations in France. A small increase proposed by the government, which initially wanted to reduce the amount of the discount introduced from 1 April. Recall that at the time it was displayed at 18 cents and was to be reduced and offered only to the highest riders and liberal health workers. Finally, after clashes with the opposition, the government voted to temporarily increase the discount, September 1 – October 31. Very good news for motorists who can finally breathe a little after long, very difficult months with extremely high prices.

Strong fall
But if the price of fuel has really fallen, what are the average prices now? According to the website Fuels.org, in lead-free 95 E10 now showing for just €1.43 on average. An absolutely incredible price, although some gas stations offered it for 2 euros a few months ago. Then the largest drop was recorded, about 19.48% in the last 30 days. For its part, standard unleaded 95 costs €1.57, down 14.56% over the same period, while SP98 is listed at €1.54 (-18.36%). Finally, diesel is still the highest with a price per liter of €1.68.
Regarding E85 and LPG
But that’s not all, because LPG and E85 also affected by this drop in prices. The former is then displayed at €0.73 (-16.02%), while the latter costs only €0.70 per liter (-15.51%). In addition to the fuel discount introduced by the government, the drop in oil prices also played a role. In addition, we remember that TotalEnergies also offers its own discount of 20 cents at all its service stations. This will also be extended till the end of October.
I am introducing a bill aimed at reducing gasoline taxes in the face of record high fuel prices and taxing oil company dividends.
A few days before the big holidays, this is an important topic for the French. pic.twitter.com/84UlSqaEBM
