Porsche 911 Sally Special: 10 months of work

This particular project brought together several people from Pixar, including Jay Ward, the franchise’s creative director, and Bob Pauly, who drew Sally for the film, as well as members of the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. This team has worked together for 10 months to create this unique 911 inspired by Sally Carrera and her 1 scale model found in these photos.

The Porsche 911 Sally Special is based on a 911 Carrera GTSwith a capacity of 473 horsepower and equipped with a manual gearbox, which was painted in a new color: “Sally Blue Metallic”, designed especially for this occasion. New five-spoke wheels have been created, inspired by the 911 Turbo Type 996 wheels, and have been enlarged to match the current 911’s 20 and 21-inch diameters. The model, which will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s on August 20 during Monterey Car Week in the United States, will be delivered with numerous presents linked to the car’s design history, a matching key with the “Sally Special” logo, as well as an exclusive Porsche Design watch, also made in a unique copy and matching the colors of the car.
