A real tour de force for the new star of the Korean brand, which seduces buyers with its style, as well as its driving qualities. As a reminder, it was also recognized as the car of 2022, which probably contributed to its success around the world. So much so that delivery times are getting longer, even exceeding 12 months in France. But if you are a lucky owner, you will soon have to return to the garage…

Security problem
Indeed, the Korean brand is now contacting all French Kia EV6 owners due to a minor fault that could have serious safety implications. Indeed, the manufacturer has identified a problem related to the software responsible for management handbrake, parking brake. Specifically, it can be deactivated at any time. Then the car is no longer fixed and it risks moving, especially if it is parked on a slope. Suffice it to say, this is obviously very dangerous for both the vehicle that could be damaged and the pedestrians who walk by and could be hit.
A short operation
Fortunately, Kia has planned a software updates for all new models leaving the factory from May 3. On the other hand, vehicles that are already in circulation will need to be returned to the garage. As such, the brand will soon contact no less than 3,460 owners to carry out the update at the dealership. But do not panic, the operation lasts only half an hour and is clearly supported by the brand. You just need to make an appointment with your dealer after receiving the letter.
