In April, Romania will play a friendly match against France

Romania’s national team is preparing for the last two matches of the EC2024 pre-tournament: on April 4 in Kazinia against Bosnia and Herzegovina, respectively on April 7 in Buzau against Greece.

The meeting will take place on April 1, FR Handbal reported on Friday.

After the match against Greece, the national team led by Florentin Pera will continue training in Buzau before traveling to Clermont-Ferrand, where they will also play a friendly match against Olympic and world champions France on April 13-15, News.ro announced.

Romania has already qualified for the CE2024 final tournament, topping Group 1 with scores of 49-18 against Bosnia, 32-20 against Greece, 26-24 and 25-23 against Croatia.

The 2024 European Championship will be the first 24-team European Championship to be hosted by Austria, Hungary and Switzerland from 28 November to 15 December. The top two teams in the preliminary groups and the four third-placed teams advance to the final tournament, where Denmark, Sweden, Holland, France also secured a place in the preliminary tournament.

At the last two European Championships, Romania finished 12th after finishing 4th in 2018. The best result of the tricolor team was a bronze medal in 2010.

The winner of the trophy is Norway.
