CFR Cluj expects to sell Filip Otele for 3 million euros

Arriving out of contract in the summer of 2023 after parting ways with UTA, Philippe Otele has impressed in a CFR shirt and his performances have attracted interest from clubs in France and Germany.

According to Transfermarkt, he scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists in the current season of the Romanian Super League.

The Transylvania management hope Otele will be the club’s next export, but Christie Balai highlighted the fact that the Nigerian has yet to receive offers for the likes of Nelutu Warg.

“Offers come during the transfer window. All players who had offers that satisfied the club were transferred.

This is a transition year to get the club back on track and financially healthy.

It is not normal for financiers to come with money from home, and this is not only the case for the CFR.” – reported by Christy Balay, Digi Sport reports.

Recently, Otele has been interested in “Stuttgart” and “Bordeaux”, and coach Bohdan Apostu believes that CFR Cluj can receive at least three million euros in exchange for the Nigerian footballer.

“The amount of the transfer depends on his results until the end of the season. But I consider the correct amount to be 2.5-3 million euros, plus interest.

CFR will release him if he receives these amounts. The guy proved his worth. He came from nowhere and proved himself at UTA, then at CFR. This is his merit.” – was his message, reports GSP.
