
In October 2023, Romania’s exports amounted to 8.45 billion euros and imports to 11.2 billion euros, leading to a deficit of 2.79 billion euros, the National Institute of Statistics reported on Monday.
Compared to October 2022, exports in October 2023 increased by 5.6%, while imports decreased by 1.5%. In total, in the first 10 months, Romania exported goods worth more than 78 billion euros, while imports amounted to 101 billion euros, reducing the trade deficit to 23 billion, more than 5 billion less than in the first 10 months of last year.
According to the INS, in the period 1.I-31.X 2023, exports increased by 2.4% and imports decreased by 3.2%, compared to the period 1.I-31.X 2022.
