Transport Minister Sorin Grindeanu said on Wednesday during a visit to the Braille Bridge that he saw no reason why traffic on the bridge would be interrupted at night until the cranes were dismantled, he said that only one crane had been dismantled. “When they are mobilized, let them come and ask TsNAIR that they want to work, to remove these cranes. Until then, 24 out of 24,” said the Minister of Construction, News.ro reports
The Minister of Transport on the Breil bridge said that the builders managed to partially remove the first crane.
“I want to let you know that if they continue like this (..), I want you to make a decision to spread. I see no reason why traffic would be disrupted at night until these cranes are removed. tell me the reason It cannot be so. If they’re not going to remove those faucets anyway, let them run 24/7,” Sorin told Grindean.
“When they are mobilized, let them come and ask TsNAIR that they want to work, to remove these cranes. Until then, 24 out of 24,” said the minister.
When asked about the asphalting of the bridge in the middle of the 2024 election year, Grindianu answered: “Regardless of whether there will be elections or not, the asphalt on the Breil bridge and all the discrepancies that were seen by the experts at the request of the Central Intelligence Agency, I emphasize, all these discrepancies must be eliminated, company money.”
It will be recalled that the Breil Bridge over the Danube, one of the most complex infrastructure works ever carried out in Romania, was inaugurated on July 6, but traffic was partially open. This is due to the fact that the work is not yet fully completed, and the main road that connects to the coast at Tulcea will not be ready until the end of the year, at least that is what CNAIR hoped at the time.
Braille Bridge currently has a speed limit of 80 kilometers per hour and traffic on Braille Bridge is suspended at night from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday. During these night intervals, the builder had to take care of the dismantling of the huge cranes used to raise the bridge. These measures were initially announced until 11/30/2023.
