Bulgarian Tourism Minister Zaritsa Dinkova visited natural and archaeological tourist sites in the villages of Shabla commune on the road to the border with Romania on Monday, 24CHASA reports, Rador reports.

At the beginning of the meeting with the local mayor Marian Yetsev, the president of the local council, doctor Yordanka Stoyeva, as well as with councilor Zhivko Spasov, the mayor presented Minister Dinkova with the natural resources of the village. the territory of the commune, such as the two lakes – Shabla and Durankulak, Tuzla from Shabla and, no less important, that 20% of the beaches in Bulgaria are located in the area of ​​Shabla.

“There is a chance to attract more tourists because you are protecting nature. Archaeological excavations are also a product that can be offered here to tourists together with nature,” Minister Dinkova said. She also discussed with the mayor what she sees as a huge potential for the development of camping tourism in the region according to the highest European standards.

“Our area is a popular holiday destination in the summer and as a result we are seeing the small villages in the area come to life. For example, four people live in the village of Bojanovo during the year, and 80 people live there in the summer. The Polish community permanently lives in the village of Granichar. Over the past 5 years, the vision of the village of Ezerets has changed – more than 30 construction permits have been obtained.

Doctor Yordanka Stoyeva spoke about the properties of therapeutic mud. During the meeting, it was announced that the mayors of Bulgaria will receive letters from Minister Dinkova, with which they will be able to present their proposals for solving the problems, make requests and express their views on their solutions, so that they will benefit the sector. They will also work on extending the season for ornithologists who often visit the area.
