Hennessey, the American supercar manufacturer, has once again hit the headlines with a spectacular model. Here roadster Venom F5 Revolutionsports convertible that will be unveiled to the public for the first time during Monterey Auto Week in California.
The new Venom F5 Revolution Roadster has been completely redesigned from the coupe model to achieve maximum performance on the road and on the track, all without compromise.
Supercar under the open sky
Insiders will no doubt notice the new, significantly larger front and rear splitters, as well as a new rear wing. Engineers have also revised the suspension system, there are new rims, and the Venom F5 also includes an integrated telemetry system for use on the track.
But under the hood, we take the same ones and start over. We find the famous 6.6-liter bi-turbo “Fury” V8 (we like to give V8s nicknames in the US, like the Mustang’s famous Coyote V8) developing no less 1842 hp. This is cooled by a huge air intake located at the rear of the roof, as the front can be removed.
The price of (ultra) exclusivity
The car is still based on the same carbon fiber monocoque chassis as McLaren. The retractable part is also made of carbon fiber and weighs only eight pounds. The panel is completely isolated from other elements and is fixed with four quick-release bolts and a pair of high-strength fasteners, taking into account the particularly high aerodynamic forces at high speeds in this type of machine.
The Venom F5 Revolution Roadster will be unveiled on August 18 at The Quail, Monterey Car Week’s most prestigious event. This is the first of five “Bare Carbon” models planned for this model. John Hennessy, founder and CEO of the brand, confirmed that the model shown in the photos is unique, “made to order for a special client”.
There will be only everything 12 copies, everything is already sold of course. Base price? About three million dollars, or thereabouts 2.75 million euroswithout customization items and options.
