Since the beginning of this year, the law (39/2023) entered into force, according to which the VAT on photovoltaic panels is 5%, instead of 19%. The problem was that this document was not clear enough.
In this way, the parliament issued a new regulatory act, which was announced by President Klaus Iohannis.
The regulatory act contains definitions for installation kits, photovoltaic panel kit, thermal solar panel kit, etc.
In addition, this document released by the President also refers to wood, which has a 5% VAT. From now on, wood is delivered to individuals in the form of trunks, stumps, branches, branches or in similar forms, as well as sawdust, waste and agglomerated wood scraps in the form of wood pellets, wood briquettes or in similar forms.
This also includes the delivery for use as heating fuel of sawdust, waste and non-agglomerated wood shavings made to individuals as end users, based on a self-declaration provided to the supplier.
The same regime applies to delivery to schools, hospitals, dispensaries and social assistance points.
