For those returns that were filed before next Wednesday, April 26, and the return received is creditable, the tax refund will be issued on Friday, April 28, as specified by AADE.
For all returns filed on or after Thursday, April 28 and payrolls on credit, it will be preceded by set-off with debts from ENFIA.
According to a related update from AADE, the publication of ENFIA’s settlement reports will take place next weekend, April 29th and 30th.
As specified, those taxpayers who do not have debts to AADE or EFKA, are waiting for a refund from the income statement and do not want it to be set off against ENFIA, are invited to file a return until Wednesday 26/04 or wait for the issuance of ENFIA clearing reports, pay ENFIA and then file your tax return.
According to data so far from the credit memos that taxpayers have already received, the money has arrived in the bank accounts of three out of four taxpayers.
In particular, according to AADE data, out of 44,217 taxpayers who received a tax refund, 33,998 were paid and received a total of 9.656 million euros.
The remaining 10,219 taxpayers will receive an email from AADE within a week informing them that the income tax refund they are entitled to will be credited against other tax debts.
However, there are also cases where additional control is required before AADE proceeds with refunds.
Finally, it should be noted that, according to available AADE data, 236,856 returns were filed in the 67 days before the tax filing deadline, which usually ends on June 30, 2023.
