Agriculture Minister Petre Daea says that every year “agriculture is at risk”, admitting that not only this year but every year there will be losses in the sector, but those working in agriculture suggest that the risks, reports News.ro.
“Agriculture takes place under the sign of risk, and people weaker than angels, as the Romanian says, are bound to be frightened at the first gust of wind. I am a person who knows the agricultural phenomenon very well and I say that yes, we will have losses, as we do every year, knowing that the cold temperatures affect certain types of fruit trees, those that flower earlier. We will have, but we are assuming these losses,” the Minister of Agriculture said on Saturday in Ploiesti when asked what he thought this agricultural year would be like.
He emphasized that he is glad that the rains have passed recently, and in agriculture there is such an amount of water that is necessary for timely sowing of crops and for biological processes of plants.
