Polakis: In the SYRIZA bulletins, after P.G.

The SYRIZA ballots for the upcoming national elections will Pavlos Polakisby unanimous decision of the political secretariat of the party.

Let us recall that earlier the President of SYRIZA in his speech noted that “while there were no issues of internal work on the agenda, Comrade Polakis’s letter invites us to discuss them and makes us reevaluate our original intentions, because it is really a letter of bold self-criticism.

Subsequently, the President of SYRIZA “clarified” that “in order to cross the Rubicon of victory and change, the powers demanded by reality, demanded by the overwhelming social majority and the democratic faction, are needed.” He spoke of “evidence of the seriousness of all of us and each, evidence of unity in the daily struggle, devotion to the common good and collective work, comradely solidarity that corresponds to the ethics of our politics.” A little later, the Political Secretariat of the party made the following statement.

SYRIZA announcement

“At today’s meeting, the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA-PS unanimously decided that there should be no change in the decisions it took at its previous meeting, and which have already been made public, regarding the proposal to the Central Committee of the party ballots.

The Authority has taken note of the letter sent by Pavlos Polakis, in which he explains his recent posts, acknowledges his mistakes and failures, and reaffirms his absolute respect for the collective decisions of SYRIZA-PS.

The compass of all leaders and candidates for deputies of the party must be respect for the collective function and collectively worked out positions.

Public stances, speeches and statements, including social media posts, must serve the common goal of electoral victory and the political change the country needs.”

It is noted that Pavlos Polakis’ apology letter regarding the post that led to his appeal to the Ethics Committee states that “this was in no way a response to a previous interview with SYRIZA-PS President Alexis Tsipras. …” and emphasized that “It is clear that I had no intention (as the eager feathers of the mainstream media hastened to suggest) to challenge Alexis Tsipras, whom I have supported with all my might since 2012 and continue to support in the battle for the victory of SYRIZA PS and political the change the place needs.”

Polakis’ first reaction

A few hours after the announcement of the Political Secretariat, Pavlos Polakis posted a photo of himself with Alexis Tsipras and wrote: “Together for a great victory, More united and more determined than ever. For the country to breathe. For justice everywhere” and accompanied it with two postscripts: “PS1: Don’t do them any favors, PS2: Crete always leads the way.”
