Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday in India, where he arrived to participate in the G20 ministerial meeting, that this country and Russia will not accept “neo-colonial” practices such as “unilateral sanctions, threats and blackmail against sovereign states”, reports EFE and Agerpres.
“Moscow and New Delhi have consistently opposed neo-colonial practices such as illegitimate unilateral sanctions, threats, blackmail and other forms of pressure on sovereign states,” and Moscow supports “the commitment of Indian friends to strengthen genuine multilateralism.” We are united by our firm commitment to building a fairer, more democratic and polycentric world order,” said the head of Russian diplomacy.
“We constantly defend respect for cultural diversity and civilizations of the modern world, for the inalienable right of peoples to independently determine their own path of development,” Lavrov added.
Blinken is also in New Delhi, but ruled out meeting with Lavrov
Arriving in New Delhi to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of the G20 countries, the head of Russian diplomacy met with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, whose country chairs the G20.

Lavrov also said during the opening ceremony of the Leo Tolstoy – Mahatma Gandhi exhibition.
He also met with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, but Russian diplomacy has not yet provided information on the content of the talks.
