A tax officer and five people were handcuffed by members of the Interior Department of the Northern Greek Security Forces on charges of being involved in the illegal supply of materials.
This was preceded by a months-long police investigation, during which the movements of all the defendants were tracked.
Apparently, the deliveries concerned various materials, such as consumables, copiers, printers, etc. As it became known, the arrested tax official was allegedly the head of the procurement department of all the city’s tax authorities. According to the information, certain companies were selected by illegal orders to supply the above materials.
The case brought against them includes, among other things, the composition of a criminal organization, bribery and bribery.
The detainees were taken to the prosecutor’s office of the first instance in Thessaloniki.
