A new video posted on social media by the Ukrainian military shows their sniper unexpectedly killing two Russian soldiers as they tried to sneak into their positions.

The footage shows Russian soldiers carefully advancing through the forest or forest edges at night, most likely so as not to alert the Ukrainian defenders. But they are still noticed by a Ukrainian sniper who was lying in wait.

The end of the almost one and a half minute video hints that the Russian soldiers were killed by a Kyiv sniper. The same shot taken with a slightly wider frame:

But, unfortunately, the footage of the recording makes it impossible to geolocate the action, as is the case with most videos shot by Ukrainian snipers.

The footage is reminiscent of another video that appeared on social networks at the end of November last year, in which a Ukrainian sniper knocks out several Russian soldiers with grenades who were trying to hunt a rabbit at night.

And on that recording, you can see how the Moscow military steps carefully, probably not to scare the hunted rabbit, but because of fear of the Ukrainian defenders. But, unfortunately for the Russian soldiers, the Ukrainian sniper was waiting even then.

Another video, published by the Ukrainian military on social networks at the end of October, recorded how a sniper of the “Alfa” special unit at an observation post one by one kills 4 Russian soldiers.

The Ukrainian special forces did not specify where exactly the night action took place, but “Alpha” special forces took part in a counteroffensive in the northeast of the country, which led to the catastrophic collapse of the Russian front in Kharkiv, a month before the appearance of the corresponding recording. published

In its report Wednesday morning, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said its forces had disabled 149,890 Russian troops, including 650 in the last 24 hours alone. It is not known how many of them were killed or wounded by Ukrainian snipers.
