
According to police data cited by ACAROM, the number of new car registrations in the country increased by 37% in the first two months, while SH car registrations decreased by 1%. The ratio of new cars to imported vehicles was 1 to 2, and in some months of the past years it reached 1 to 4.
New car registrations in Romania increased in February 2023 by 44% compared to February 2022, reaching 12,449 units.
In the first two months of 2023, the number of registered new cars reached 24,715 units, which is 37% more than in the same period of 2022, i.e. almost 18,000 units.
As for used cars registered for the first time in Romania, their volume reached 25,277 units in February 2023, which is 2% more than in February 2022.
In the first two months of 2023, the registration of used cars registered for the first time in Romania reached the value of 48,537 units, which is 1% less compared to the same period in 2022, respectively 49,000 units
