
Supreme Court Prosecutor Isidoros Dogiakos is asking for an expedited investigation into the fatal train collision outside Tempi in a letter to the Larissa Appeals Prosecutor.
“In connection with the train collision incident in Tempi on February 28, 2023 (see attached publications), we ask you to take your own actions, within your competence under Article 32 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in terms of supervision of investigative work, to direct the acceleration of the investigation on this specific case. Also let us know with your reasoned opinion if there is a case of application of the last paragraph of Article 32 of the Code of Criminal Procedure,” Prosecutor Dogiakos notes.
In the morning, the prosecutor of the Supreme Court entrusted the supervision of the entire preliminary investigation of the tragedy in Tempe to the head of the Larissa Prosecutor’s Office of Appeal, Stamatis Daskalopoulos.
