A chase ensued, with the boat’s operator repeatedly attempting to ram the Coast Guard vessel while the crew fired warning shots in a safe area, but to no avail.

The crew of the Coast Guard vessel then fired precision shots at the outboards in accordance with the rules of engagement, immobilizing the boat and arresting two foreign operators believed to be involved in trading the remaining 20 migrants.

Also, in the same sea area, another high-speed boat was later noticed, which was moving suspiciously and at high speed, not responding to the light and sound signals from the LS-EL.AKT patrol boat.

Again, a pursuit ensued when a boat operator attempted to ram a Coast Guard patrol boat, resulting in warning shots being fired in a safe area with negative results.

After that, the crew of the L.S.-EL.AKT. fired aimed shots at the outboards in accordance with the rules of engagement, immobilizing the boat and arresting the foreign operator allegedly involved in the trafficking of the remaining 17 migrants.
