this spring McLaren will present a new model. One that could be named 750S (the name has yet to be officially confirmed, however), will be the designated successor to the 720S. After six years of good and faithful service, the supercar must give way to a new, even more powerful model.

The first information about the long-awaited 750S came from a source close to the Woking firm, who revealed some interesting details to Automotive News journalists.

McLaren 750S: no hybridization in sight?

According to this source, the new McLaren 750S will be equipped the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 than the 720S, but the power will be increased to 750 hp. It develops 30 hp. more than the 720S and therefore the performance should be higher and closer to the 765LT. As a reminder, the McLaren 720S requires only 2.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and can reach a maximum speed of 340 km/h.

In addition, according to Automotive News, the cabin will share several elements with the Artura, including a new infotainment system and some dashboard layouts. However, unlike Arthur, The 750S doesn’t have to be a plug-in hybrid and will retain a 100% heat engine. As stated, the launch is scheduled for April, but the first teaser should be released at the end of February.

McLaren 750S: Already sold out until 2024

Finally, McLaren is set to introduce coupe and spider versions at the same time, while an LT version (for the Long Tail) is currently not planned. Regarding the prices, the first rumors are appearing base price approximately €310,00020% more than the McLaren 720S.

Obviously, customers should be pushing at the gate for one of the last 100% thermal cars as a thrill. Nicholas Brown, McLaren’s president of the Americas, said a few weeks ago that order forms for the new 750S are sold out by the end of 2024.
