Several local councilors of USR Cluj propose to establish, for the first time at the national level, an administrative consortium with the aim of improving the efficiency of public services and making investments at the expense of European and government funds, of which the municipality of Cluj-Napoca and the neighboring communes of Floreşti, Apahida, Baciu will be part of the consortium and Feleaku.

“The creation of the consortium is carried out through the decisions of local councils, association agreements adopted in five settlements. The main advantages for communities are the improvement of the efficiency of the provision of communal services, the introduction of investments at the expense of European and state funds, and the effective use of human resources. resources,” he said at a press conference on Thursday, Kelin Groza, local councilor of USR Cluj-Napoca, the initiator of the proposal, quoted by Agerpres.

He added that the creation of such a consortium is possible after the emergence of the new legislative framework provided for in the PNRR, which refers to “voluntary territorial association”, and that he does not understand why Mayor Emil Bock would be against such a project.

USR will initiate negotiations with the parties in the Cluj-Napoca Local Council for the creation of this consortium, which will not have the status of a legal entity.

According to USR representatives, the future consortium aims to harmonize the PUGs of the five localities and create a master plan on the basis of which future investments can be planned.

They indicate that among the projects of the future consortium is the identification of land in the metropolitan area for the construction of a large-scale technological industrial park, where it will be possible to manufacture batteries for electric cars, biotechnology, etc.

Supporters of the project are local USR MPs Kelin Groza, Maria Rodila from Apahida, Andrea Florea from Feleak, Gabriel Barz from Bachiu, Lucian Kontrash and Dan Dehenes from Florest.
