
Electricity suppliers’ tariffs will be increased by about 30% Current in January compared to December as a result of strong wholesale market prices, which are expected to continue into the next month.
According to the announcements of electricity providers, the average charge for January is 0.44 euros per kilowatt-hour, while in December they were about 0.347 euros.
In more detail, supplier invoices for January are as follows:
- From the checkpoint, the cost for January will be 0.489 euros for the 1st consumption scale (up to 500 kWh). For consumption over 500 kWh, the fee will be 0.501 euros.
- Protergia announced a fee of €0.448 per kWh, up from €0.368 per minute in December.
- HERON for the Generous program announced a fee of 0.360 euros per kWh with a permanent discount (20%).
- Aerio Attica’s fee is 0.358 per kWh with a permanent discount (5%).
- ZeniΘ price is set at 0.465 cents per kWh next month.
- NRG announced 0.44 per kWh for the Prime plan,
- ELIN in Power On! Home Comfort charges €0.375 per kWh.
At the 33rd minute subsidy
The final prices that consumers will have to pay will be determined after the government subsidy.
According to the information, the January subsidies, which are expected to be announced tomorrow by the Minister of Environment and Energy Kostas Skrekas for the first 500 kWh, will be 33 min/kWh in January against 22 cents/kWh in December.
The next 500 kWh will cost 28 cents/kWh from 17 cents/kWh in December. For the Household Social Tariff (CTO), the January subsidy will be 40 cents/kWh, compared to around 29 cents/kWh in December.
