However, for the 2022 contributions, the process is expected to start from the very first months of the new year so that the liquidation is completed in a relatively short period of time.

However, for 2021 contributions, there are also about 55,000 insured individuals who will receive “zero” payrolls, as well as about 25,000 parallel employees who ended up paying higher contributions to EFKA than they should have and their calculated statements will be credited. The amounts to be reimbursed are estimated at an average of 400 euros per insured, and approximately 25,000 people will be informed by a message to their account in the EFKA online services, as well as a message to the e-mail address (email ) they registered in the online services of the carrier .

About 55,000 insured people will receive “zero” payments and 25,000 loans.

According to the Vrucis Insurance Law, from January 1, 2020, employees who are also self-employed (have a “block”, have an individual entrepreneur, are members of companies, etc.) are exempted from the obligation to pay basic insurance and health care contributions, if for their paid work is paid contributions (themselves and their employers) to the aforementioned insurance industries, which exceed 252 euros per month. 252 euros corresponds to the 2nd category of self-employed insurance, not counting 10 euros for the unemployment sector, which are paid by the self-employed, and 2 euros, which are paid by medical workers for a shelter for medical workers.

If employment is interrupted, the premium is paid based on the selected insurance category and the entire premium is borne by the insured.
